Initial screening to identify learning strengths and areas for growth. Provides a roadmap for targeted support and program placement.
Monitoring & Accommodation
Regular check-ins on academic progress, test accommodations (read-aloud, extended time), and proctor coordination for students with documented learning plans.
Tutoring
One-on-one academic tutoring in any subject area with experienced instructors providing personalized support.
We looked at five private schools before choosing CFP. None of them offered the level of learning support our son needed. The Bob Flanders Academy gave us the confidence that he would get real, targeted help without leaving his school community.
Tier 1: Classroom Accommodations
Tests read aloud, extended time, private testing with proctor. In-class support for students with documented learning needs.
Tier 2: Pull-Out Instruction
All Tier 1 services plus small group Language Arts and Math instruction, 5 times per week. Students receive targeted reading and math support.
Gifted Support
The Bob Flanders Academy is not only for students who need extra help. Gifted students receive enrichment, advanced assignments, and differentiated instruction.
International Program
Comprehensive academic support for international students, providing additional language instruction, cultural integration, and academic scaffolding.
Learning Support at Central Florida Prep
The Bob Flanders Academy at Central Florida Preparatory School takes a tiered approach to learning support, providing evidence-based programs for students across the academic spectrum. Programs such as Fast ForWord, Interactive Metronome, PACE, and Wilson Reading target specific processing and reading skills through one-on-one and small-group instruction. CFP serves both gifted students who benefit from enrichment and differentiated instruction, and students with learning differences who qualify for IEP and 504 accommodations. Each student receives a plan built around their documented needs, delivered by trained specialists on campus.
The process begins with a Gibson Assessment screening that identifies each student's learning strengths and areas for growth, creating a roadmap for program placement. Named for the school's founder, Bob Flanders, the academy reflects CFP's core commitment to individualized education. Every program, every tier, and every accommodation exists for one purpose: to give each child what they need to be successful in school and beyond.
