From kindergarten through 12th grade, CFP student-athletes build discipline, resilience, and Mariner spirit through competitive play rooted in character and team-first values.
Central Florida Prep treats athletics as an extension of the classroom, not a break from it. Our K-12 program gives students the chance to compete across multiple seasons, building skills that transfer directly to academic and personal growth. Nothing a student does here is considered extracurricular.
CFP athletes compete in both the FICAA and Metrowest conferences, facing strong opponents across Central Florida. Our coaches prioritize character development alongside competitive preparation, shaping students who lead on the court and in the community.

Three seasons of competitive athletics across middle school and high school give every Mariner the chance to find their passion, push their limits, and represent CFP with pride.

Opening in August 2026, the Robert A. Flanders Athletic & Performing Arts Center is a 24,000 sq ft facility built to give Mariner athletes and performers a dedicated home on campus. The building features a regulation basketball court, a performing arts theater, locker rooms, and competition-grade facilities designed for year-round training and events.
For the first time, CFP teams will practice and compete under one roof, with a venue capable of hosting league tournaments, school assemblies, and full-scale theatrical productions.
Coach Mizzelli
CFP Athletics is led by Coach Mizzelli, Athletic Director, who oversees all sports programming from middle school through varsity. The athletic department coordinates three competitive seasons, manages conference relationships with FICAA and Metrowest, and ensures that every Mariner athlete receives strong coaching and meaningful playing time. With the Robert A. Flanders Athletic & Performing Arts Center opening in 2026, CFP athletics enters a new chapter of growth and opportunity.
FICAA & Metrowest Athletic Conference
CFP Mariners compete in both the FICAA and Metrowest Athletic Conference. These conferences provide structured league play against private and independent schools across Central Florida, giving our student-athletes consistent, competitive matchups throughout each season.
